THE DAY AFTER
DEATH OF A PET
When a pet passes on, the sense of grief and loss you feel can be overwhelming and disorienting. The grieving process takes time, but certain essential oils may make coping easier by relaxing tense muscles and calming your emotions. Some good ones to try include bergamot, chamomile, jasmine, frankincense, and lemon balm. Diffuse them or enjoy them in a warm bath, one or two herbs at a time. Extra hugs are encouraged, too.
Soothing Bergamot–Chamomile Bath Oil

TIME: 30 MINUTES
Bergamot and chamomile combine to relax body and mind. If you don’t have time for a bath, combine the essential oils in this recipe with an ounce of sea salt and inhale deeply when you’re experiencing emotional stress.
1 ounce olive or sunflower oil
3 drops bergamot essential oil
5 drops chamomile essential oil
1.Draw a warm bath.
2.Add all the ingredients and swirl with your hand.
3.Relax for 30 minutes while breathing deeply. Repeat as needed.
