FACE AND HAIR CARE

CROW'S FEET & LAUGH LINES

Images

Crow’s feet and laugh lines don’t have to be an inevitable sign of aging skin. While these little wrinkles are the natural result of our daily facial expressions (including, but not limited to, smiling and laughing), you can soften them and prevent them from becoming deeper by wearing sunscreen daily, applying weekly hydrating masks, and nourishing your skin with nutrient-dense moisturizers. Smile and give these remedies a try. Used regularly, skin stays young-looking longer.

Rosemary–Papaya Facial Mask

YIELD: 1 TREATMENT
STORAGE: NOT RECOMMENDED
TIME: 20 MINUTES

Ready to get your glow back? Fresh papaya contains vitamin C to stimulate collagen production, and papain, an enzyme that exfoliates and tightens pores. Rosemary essential oil speeds cell renewal and improves circulation.

¼ cup fresh papaya, puréed

6 drops rosemary essential oil

1.In a small bowl, combine the papaya and rosemary essential oil.

2.Using your fingertips, apply the mixture to your freshly washed face, focusing on crow’s feet and laugh lines.

3.Relax for 15 minutes. If the mixture seems too slippery, keep it in place by covering your face with a paper or cotton facial mask.

4.When finished, rinse your face with cool water and apply your favorite moisturizer.

5.You may feel a tingling sensation while this mask is doing its work. If you experience discomfort, stop the treatment.

Frankincense–Lavender Skin Serum

STORAGE: DARK-COLORED GLASS BOTTLE WITH DROPPER

15 drops frankincense essential oil

10 drops lavender essential oil

1.Add all the ingredients to a dark-colored glass bottle fitted with a glass dropper.

2.Shake for 30 seconds to blend.

3.With your fingertips, apply a thin layer to your skin, focusing on crow’s feet and laugh lines.

4.Let the serum absorb into your skin. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

5.You can use this serum to hydrate your entire face if you like. Store it in a cool, dark place.
