Also known as ED, erectile dysfunction is exacerbated by smoking, drinking, and lack of physical exercise. If your guy would rather not take prescription drugs with a list of off-putting side effects for a mild case, have him give these herbal remedies a try. Men can, understandably, be sensitive and insecure when it comes to ED. While lifestyle modifications may help too, take things one at a time and exercise as much patience and understanding as you can.

Ginseng Tea

YIELD: 1 CUP
STORAGE: NOT RECOMMENDED
TIME: 15 MINUTES

Most ginseng contains ginsenodes, an ingredient that increases sex drive and stops ED symptoms. Korean ginseng is preferable because it has the most ginsenodes. Don’t bother with Siberian ginseng as it’s ginsenode-free.

1 tablespoon ginseng root, thinly sliced

1 cup boiling water

2 teaspoons raw honey

1.Place the ginseng in a tea ball or infuser. In a mug filled with boiling water add the tea ball and raw honey.

2.Steep for 15 minutes. Drink.

3.Use twice daily for 3 days, discontinue for 2 weeks, and then use for another 3 days. If the treatment works, continue the cycle for as long as you like.

Saw Palmetto–Pomegranate Iced Tea

YIELD: 8 OUNCES
STORAGE: NOT RECOMMENDED
TIME: 1 MINUTE

You can take saw palmetto supplements daily, but extracts with concentrations of 1:4 or higher may work a bit faster. Drinking pomegranate juice daily may also be helpful.

1 tablespoon saw palmetto extract

8 ounces pomegranate juice

1.In a glass, combine the saw palmetto extract and pomegranate juice.

2.Add ice, if desired.

3.Sweeten with honey or stevia before drinking.

4.Enjoy daily for as long as you like.
