There are a number of issues from minor to more severe that can lead to gastrointestinal distress: certain foods, unhealthy bacteria, food poisoning, or an infectious disease. Simple herbal remedies work well in many cases. See your doctor if your problems are frequent or severe, as GI symptoms can be indicative of a serious medical problem.
