AROUND THE HOUSE

MOTHS

Images

Moths and other insects can damage clothing, furniture, and other fabric belongings. Still, you don’t have to rely on your grandmother’s methods for removal: mothballs. If you hate their distinctive smell and prefer not to use harmful chemicals in your home, you’ll be happy to know that many plants protect themselves by emitting fragrances that naturally repel insects. Ironically, these same scents will seem pleasant to your nose and double as natural air fresheners.
