PART 3. THE REMEDIES
THE DAY AFTER
The morning after a drinking binge is never pretty. Instead of giving in to cheeseburger or taco cravings or countering a hangover with the hair of the dog, hydrate your body with good old H2O and go back to sleep for a while. Eat something plain, starchy, and nutrient-dense—salads and smoothies are a good choice—to soothe your stomach and give your blood sugar a boost. Herbal remedies can help, too. Have some milk thistle to help your liver detox, and use herbal balms, like the recipe below, to soothe the pounding in your head.
Herbal Headache Balm

This magical pain reliever is the next best thing to having said no to that last drink. Make this calming balm ahead of time so you have it on hand when needed.

2.Over low heat, stir until the beeswax melts.
3.Remove from the heat and cool for 2 minutes.
4.Add the marjoram, peppermint, basil, chamomile, and eucalyptus essential oils.
5.Pour the balm into a small jar or tin.
