1 ounce coarse sea salt

20 drops bergamot essential oil

1.In a small glass jar, combine the sea salt with the bergamot essential oil.

2.Cap tightly and shake well to blend.

3.Inhale deeply for 20 seconds.

4.Use this remedy as often as you like to ease anxiety and refocus your mind. Refresh the salt with additional essential oil when the fragrance begins to fade.

Chamomile–Ginger Tea with Licorice

TIME: 15 MINUTES

When focus and calm are what you need, look to chamomile, ginger, and licorice to keep nervousness and racing thoughts at bay. Its sweet, spicy taste makes it a delicious option as an everyday drink.

1 tablespoon dried chamomile flowers

1 teaspoon fresh ginger root, peeled and grated

1 teaspoon dried licorice root, chopped

1¼ cups water

1.In a small saucepan, combine the chamomile, ginger, licorice, and water. Bring to a boil.

2.Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes.

3.Strain the tea into a mug, using the back of a spoon to press the excess liquid from the herbs before discarding them.

4.Drink the tea any time you are feeling anxious. Enjoy it as often as you like.

St. John’s Wort–Passionflower Tonic

YIELD: 1 CUP
STORAGE: NOT RECOMMENDED
TIME: 15 MINUTES

St. John’s wort and passionflower combine to help ease frayed nerves while reducing anxiety and calming the mind. This relaxing blend is best enjoyed when you have time to unwind.

1 tablespoon dried St. John’s wort

1 tablespoon dried passionflower

1 cup boiling water

1.In a mug, combine the St. John’s wort, passionflower, and boiling water.

2.Steep for 15 minutes.

3.Drink each night before bed. Do not use before driving or doing other tasks that require you to concentrate.
