St. John’s Wort–Peppermint Tea Blend

YIELD: 4 CUPS DRIED HERBAL TEA BLEND

St. John’s wort and peppermint combine to boost mood over time. You should start to notice positive effects after 3 to 5 weeks of consistent use.

3 cups dried St. John’s wort

1 cup dried peppermint, crumbled

1 cup boiling water

Honey or stevia (optional)

1.In an airtight container, combine the herbs.

2.To brew, place 1 teaspoon of the herbal blend in a tea ball or infuser, and add to a mug of boiling water.

3.Steep for 15 minutes before drinking.

4.Sweeten with honey or stevia, if desired.

5.Drink 2 cups of this tea daily over an extended period of time.

Passionflower Tonic

TIME: 15 MINUTES

Passionflower relieves tension, nervousness, anxiety, and insomnia. This relaxing tonic boosts mood and is a good one for overall mental health.

1 tablespoon dried passionflower

1 cup water

1 teaspoon honey

1 lemon wedge

1.In a small saucepan, add the passionflower to the water. Bring to a boil and remove from the heat.

2.Steep for 15 minutes. Strain into a mug.

3.Stir in the honey and squeeze the lemon juice into the mug. Drink.

4.Enjoy a cup of this tonic at least once daily to improve your mood.

Lemon–Mandarin Shower Steam

Lemon, mandarin, and rosemary essential oils combine to enhance your mood. This pleasant treatment is almost certain to give you a more positive outlook on life.

4 drops lemon essential oil

4 drops mandarin essential oil

2 drops rosemary essential oil

1.Drip the lemon, mandarin, and rosemary essential oils onto a washcloth.

2.Place the washcloth on the shower floor, away from the drain.

3.Take your shower as usual, inhaling the aroma while breathing deep.
